With fall in full swing, Kzoom’s favorite coffee shop – Five Lakes Coffee – is offering a collection of pumpkin, apple, and spiced coffee drinks. Sure, we all have our favorites. We all have that go-to drink that wakes us up in the morning and gets the day rolling. But, how good is our team at discerning which flavor is which?
Just like Jason Statham in Crank 2: High Voltage, our hearts require regular jolts of electricity – err, caffeine – to keep beating. And so, a few weeks back, when we got a sneak peek of Five Lakes’ fall offerings, we decided to organize a blind taste test.
Kiah: We were at the Kzoom office with Nora, say hello Nora!, and Laura, say hello Laura! We are tasting the seasonal specials at Five Lakes Coffee. Everybody go, ‘oooooooo.’ I’m going to be doing a blind taste test where they’re going to have to figure out and guess which one is which out of these seven flavors.
Nora: Expecting a lot of pumpkin and a lot of apple and maybe like some chai. Some cinnamon. That sounds about right. Yeah, we have all of the hot lattes. I’m going to give you their names and then we’ll begin. So the names go as Carmel Cider and Apple Pie, Tea Latte, White Chocolate Pumpkin, and then Pumpkin Pie. Are we ready? Yeah. Here we go. Okay, you got it. You got it. Right there.
